We all love to watch Iron Chef, Top Chef, Chopped, or any other TV show where talented Chefs battle it out. For the first time, I got to experience my favorite style of TV programming live and in person thanks to Chefs Under Fire.
And the secret ingredient is… FROG LEGS!
Not only was the event even more exciting than watching the unknown images on TV, but this was a great local social event. We all know these Chefs! We all know these Judges, including celebrity Chef Monica Pope! We all even “might” know the emcee, local favorite social media personality, JR Cohen. Mix this with great food and drinks and you have yourself one heck of a night.
Hungry in Houston was privileged enough to be in the middle of the action, in the Sysco kitchen, as the Chefs prepped their dishes. Unfortunately attendee’s did not get to sample the Chefs creations, but lets let these pictures speak for themselves as the night unraveled. The finals are coming up October 25th in Austin – I recommend going if you get a chance.
